The Toolbar and Sidebar
The Toolbar
The toolbar is at the top of the screen.
There are six buttons on the toolbar
| Icon | Name | Use |
|---|---|---|
| Sidebar | Opens the side panel, which contains more menu items. | |
| Daily | Shows the status the daily game (see below) | |
| / | Instrument | Switch between the Guitar and the Piano version. |
| Shortcuts | Shows a short description of some shortcuts. | |
| Help | Shows a short description of how to play Chordle. | |
| / | Theme | Switches between light and dark modes. |
Daily Game Status
The status of the daily game is shown with one of the following icons:
| Icon | Description |
|---|---|
| The daily game is loading. | |
| The daily game is available. You can start it by clicking or touching this icon. | |
| The daily game is in progress. | |
| The daily game has been solved successfully. | |
| You failed to solved the daily game. |
The Sidebar
The sidebar appears on the left hand side of the screen and can be opened with a button on the toolbar, as described above.
The sidebar contains the following commands and links:

| How to play | Identical to the Help button on the toolbar |
| Shortcuts | Identical to the Shortcuts button on the toolbar |
| Statistics | Shows a dialog with statistics regarding the current game (3, 4 or 5 Notes) |
| Today's game | Shows the solution to today's game, if you have already completed it. |
| Yesterday's game | Shows the solution to yesterday's game, if you completed it. |
| 3-Notes ♩ ♩ ♩ | Starts the daily game with 3 Notes |
| 4-Notes ♩ ♩ ♩ ♩ | Starts the daily game with 4 Notes |
| 5-Notes ♩ ♩ ♩ ♩ ♩ | Starts the daily game with 5 Notes |
| ▶ 3 Notes ♩ ♩ ♩ | Starts a practice game with 3 Notes |
| ▶ 4 Notes ♩ ♩ ♩ ♩ | Starts a practice game with 4 Notes |
| ▶ 5 Notes ♩ ♩ ♩ ♩ ♩ | Starts a practice game with 5 Notes |
